TSRTOW Chapter 9: By Popular Demands, the Shop Expands

Image
Magic Lab Like the name dubious sounds, it is a very suspicious place. You can say it is a very unique place in the palace where ordinary people do not approach. I have visited this place once when I was the Priestess. I went there to study magic. Although the magic lab is connected to the royal palace by a corridor, it is almost an independent building. I remember there are several other divisions in the royal palace but only the church and the magic lab have this type of building. In this world, there is hardly any magic circulation. At the diner, magic is hardly used. The only magic piece we have there is the lights, refrigerator, and stove. This isn’t something someone can use freely. In order to use it, they’ll have to obtain a permit. It is unbelievable how magic is restricted. In fact, it’s nothing like those fantasy movies where people can control fire, make it rain, or strike thunder. In this world, it is used for convenience things like carrying h...

TSRTOW Chapter 8: How About a Lovely Packed Lunch?

The training ground was a stone throw away from the entrance to the royal palace. When I was the Priestess, it was an area I’ve never set foot in. The training ground was larger than I thought. It was about the size of a baseball field in my original world. There are dozens of soldiers here and they’re training in several groups. They are working hard and there weren’t a lot of things to block out the sunlight. You’re here!” (soldier) While I was carelessly lost in my thoughts, training ended. A few of the soldiers who are regulars at the diner notice me and started walking over. “Hi, I really came!” (Haruka) “Excuse me, can I buy one?” (soldier) “Thank you!” (Haruka) I took the cloth that was covering the basket off with delight. The square bento boxes and the rice balls wrapped with leaves that resemble those from ba...

TSRTOW Chapter 7: I Thought About The Business

Ch 7: I Thought About Business Our diner is quite prosperous. When I was hired by the couple who owns the diner, there seemed to be a man who worked part-time. He quit because it was tough and a lot of work. The husband felt frustrated and didn’t feel like hiring another part-timer. I think it’s better when we’re busy and don’t have much time to breathe when you’re running a shop. In fact, the couple always remembers to have gratitude, “We are protected by God and our customers, our daily life is established. They’re just a little worry I’m working too hard. Apparently, there are reasons why we worked from morning to night. The couple seemed to be in debt. They don’t talk about the debt in front of me but after closing the shop, I overheard the couple talking about it. Even though this shop is doing so well, why is there debt? The couple lives in a modest lifestyle and far from being luxurious. Although I could not understand for a while, I got grasp pieces ...
